Korea Federation of Mid-sized Enterprises Chairman Sends Handwritten Letter to 169 K-Brand Companies: "Solidarity Is Essential"

[Financial News] Choi Jin-sik, Chairman of the Korea Federation of Mid-sized Enterprises, has set out to strengthen the membership base by sending handwritten letters to leading K-Brand companies.
According to the Korea Federation of Mid-sized Enterprises on the 16th, Chairman Choi sent a letter on the 14th to the representatives of 169 outstanding companies in the K-industry, requesting that they actively participate in a forum for discussion and action aimed at developing mid-sized enterprises.
In his letter, Chairman Choi emphasized, "In an era of unlimited competition and amid a chaotic international situation, the solution is self-reliance and solidarity." He added, "We must renew the Republic of Korea as a center of global soft power driven by world-class technological capabilities spanning cutting-edge fields, as well as K-beauty, K-food, content, and culture, and secure the systematic dynamism of a long-term industrial foundation that guarantees the nation's survival through strong, mutually beneficial cooperation among companies."
He added, "The dedication of several mid-sized business leaders who joined forces to enact and implement the Special Act on Mid-sized Enterprises in 2014 opened a breakthrough in industrial policy, raising the number of mid-sized enterprises from 2,979 to 6,474, sales from 483.6 trillion won to 1,030.5 trillion won, and employment from 898,000 to 1.757 million over the course of more than 10 years." He continued, "At a crossroads of rapid changes that will determine the future success or failure of the Korean economy—including the artificial intelligence (AI) revolution, the spread of protectionism, and the reorganization of supply chains—I ask you to lend your support to the work of strengthening the 'backbone' of the economy and laying the foundation for harmonious prosperity that will enable us to take responsibility for future generations."
The Korea Federation of Mid-sized Enterprises is accelerating efforts to expand communication with member companies and recruit new members, including by launching the 'Member Company Visit Project' in the first half of the year, with all secretariat employees participating. Through the project, the federation is supporting member companies by pursuing follow-up measures in cooperation with the government and relevant organizations regarding 228 policy innovation ideas and tasks for improving the business environment for mid-sized enterprises.
Chairman Choi said, "When more mid-sized enterprises speak with a unified voice, a reasonable business environment will be created to promote the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises and support their leap into globally competitive specialized companies."
