[Financial News] Hancom announced on the 16th that it will partner with Daegu Public Facilities Management Corporation to innovate public administration using artificial intelligence (AI).
On the 15th, Hancom signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Daegu Public Facilities Management Corporation to implement AI-based innovative administrative services. The agreement aims to apply Hancom's AI technology to the corporation's administrative operations, improve work efficiency and convenience for employees, and establish a data-driven digital administration innovation model.
Based on the agreement, the two organizations will conduct a proof of concept (PoC) for applying AI technology to administrative operations through November 30. Hancom will support system design as well as technology and service development by leveraging its AI technologies, including large language models (LLMs) and vision AI.
A key aspect of the agreement is the provision and use of unstructured data, including reports and work manuals accumulated by the corporation. The two organizations plan to link these unstructured documents with Hancom's AI solutions to determine whether AI can effectively use operational knowledge in public facility management, while verifying response accuracy and functions tailored to administrative work.
The two organizations will also jointly identify AI-based intelligent services to improve the quality of public services. They will cooperate in using the corporation's publicly available data and explore various joint projects utilizing AI technology in the future.
Hancom has recently been expanding its AI transformation (AX) business for public institutions and companies. Its projects include the first phase of the National Assembly Big Data Platform (AI National Assembly), the development of an AI knowledge search system for BGF Group, and a generative AI project for Korea Western Power. Hancom also integrated Hancom Assistant into Hy-NuRI, a generative AI platform specialized for nuclear power plants operated by Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP).
Building on its accumulated AI transformation (AX) references centered on AI solutions such as Hancom Assistant, Hancom is expanding its business into an agentic operating system that integrates and operates multiple AI agents, corporate data, and business systems. Recently, it began a PoC with Namyang Dairy Products to apply the agentic operating system in actual work environments, further expanding its AX business into the manufacturing and distribution sectors.
Choi Jae-nam, head of Hancom's Public AI Business Division, said, "This agreement marks a meaningful starting point for applying Hancom's AI technology to actual public administrative operations and verifying its effectiveness. We will work closely with Daegu Public Facilities Management Corporation to create an AI-based administrative innovation model that can be experienced in the field and expand it across various public sectors."
