[Breaking] Former President Yoon Suk Yeol Acquitted Again in Second Trial of 'Han Duck-soo Perjury'

[Financial News] Former President Yoon Suk Yeol, who was acquitted in the first trial on charges of perjury in the sedition trial of former Prime Minister Han Duck-soo, was acquitted in the appellate trial.
On the 16th, the Seoul High Court Criminal Division 1 (Presiding Judge Yoon Sung-sik) acquitted former President Yoon of perjury charges in the second trial, just as in the first trial.
Former President Yoon is accused of perjury for saying, "Yes, that is correct. I knew that a State Council meeting was necessary because martial law was being declared while announcing it to the whole world," in response to the court's question during former Prime Minister Han's trial last November, "Did you think from the beginning that you needed to summon the personnel required for the State Council meeting?"
The trial court found former President Yoon not guilty of perjury, stating that it appeared he had planned to convene additional State Council members regardless of former Prime Minister Han's recommendation.
