[Financial News] The Korea Authority of Land & Infrastructure Safety carried out a coastal environmental cleanup at a fishing village to mark International Coastal Cleanup Day.
According to the authority on the 16th, it conducted the campaign the previous day around Dolmeori Fishing Village Experience Village in Hampyeong County, South Jeolla Province, to mark International Coastal Cleanup Day.
The campaign was organized as part of “CO-AST,” a cooperation framework jointly promoted by the Korea Authority of Land & Infrastructure Safety and the Korea Fisheries Infrastructure Public Agency. The name “CO-AST” combines the meaning of “helping together” with “Coast,” referring to the shore and coastline. Under the framework, the Korea Authority of Land & Infrastructure Safety supports infrastructure inspections and safety education along the southwestern coast of Korea, while the Korea Fisheries Infrastructure Public Agency contributes to the local community by establishing communication channels with fishing village associations and promoting workations in fishing areas.
The two organizations also plan to sign a related memorandum of understanding next month to continue cooperating for shared regional growth.
