The meeting was organized to hear directly about young residents’ actual housing experiences and their suggestions for improving the system, and to reflect them in future housing-support policies. A total of 18 people attended, including nine young residents—university students and office workers—and nine SH Corporation officials, including President Hwang Sang-ha.
Before the meeting began, SH Corporation employees toured Dangdang Lounge, the complex’s shared study space, as well as resident amenities and the interiors of the housing units. They closely examined the actual living environment and the current operation of shared facilities.
During the meeting, residents shared practical concerns and opinions they had experienced while living in the complex. In particular, participants held in-depth discussions on possible improvements involving housing size, rental periods, deposit protection, and eligibility criteria.
SH President Hwang Sang-ha said, "To reduce young people’s housing insecurity, it is important to reflect the opinions raised during their actual housing experiences in policy and system operations." He added, "Based on the opinions expressed at this meeting, we will review matters that can be improved at the corporation level and seek housing-support policies that meet the needs of young people."
