Deepnoid Breaks Into Reading Networks at 800 Hospitals as 'M4CXR' Gains Momentum

[Financial News] Deepnoid has expanded the supply network for its generative artificial intelligence (AI) medical device to a major domestic radiology-reading hub. The company has entered a reading workflow that receives medical images from more than 800 hospitals nationwide, moving beyond individual hospitals. This has raised interest in whether the development could serve as a foothold for expanding agent-AI medical services.
Deepnoid said on the 16th that it had signed a supply agreement with Human Radiology Center, a specialized radiology institution, for M4CXR, a generative-AI-based solution that generates preliminary reports for chest X-rays. This is the first time M4CXR has been supplied to a specialized radiology-reading institution.
Human Radiology Center operates eight specialty reading centers staffed by more than 150 radiologists. It provides teleradiology services to more than 800 hospitals nationwide, including 20 university hospitals. Rather than serving a single hospital, it functions as a reading hub where images from numerous medical institutions are concentrated.
This is why the agreement has drawn attention. While the scale of deployment at an individual hospital depends on that institution's examination volume, a specialized teleradiology provider receives images from multiple hospitals in one place. This structure is relatively well suited to validating the actual usage and operational efficiency of medical AI.
M4CXR analyzes chest X-ray images using generative AI and automatically generates preliminary reports covering normal findings and more than 41 abnormal findings. In November last year, it became the first generative-AI-based medical device designated an innovative medical device by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety. It received product approval in June.
Following its approval, the solution was supplied to three university hospitals, including Pusan National University Hospital, and to Pohang Semyeong Christian Hospital, a private general hospital. With the addition of Human Radiology Center, its customer base has diversified across university hospitals, private hospitals, and specialized reading institutions.
Deepnoid plans to connect this expansion to its agent-AI business. By combining M4CXR with AxonFlow, a teleradiology operations platform that completed regulatory approvals in August, the company could eventually extend AI across the medical-imaging workflow, from assigning cases and drafting preliminary reports to delivering results.
An official in the medical-AI industry remarked, "The focus of competition in medical AI is shifting beyond simple diagnostic accuracy to how much it can reduce healthcare professionals' workload and how well it can connect with existing systems." The official added, "Entering a specialized reading institution linked to numerous hospitals means validating the technology's usefulness in actual workflows."
Kim Seong-hyeon, chief director of Human Radiology Center, said, "We expect M4CXR to assist radiologists with their readings and contribute to workflow improvements."
Choi Woo-sik, CEO of Deepnoid, added, "With this agreement as a starting point, we will expand the product beyond reading assistance into agent-AI-based medical services that support the entire workflow."
