[Financial News] The BORN Korea is introducing a card-payment system for merchandise purchases across all of its branded franchisees. The company expects the system to significantly reduce franchise owners’ cash-flow burden.
According to industry sources on the 16th, The BORN Korea is introducing the card-payment system for merchandise purchases for franchisees across all of its brands ahead of the Chuseok holiday. The company will cover all related fees to ease franchise owners’ financial burden.
The company is launching a service that allows franchise owners to pay for ordered merchandise with a payment-only card by adding a card-payment function to the existing order management system. The system was introduced to reduce the short-term cash-flow burden that may arise in operating franchise stores ahead of the holiday.
To this end, The BORN Korea partnered with KB Kookmin Card to build the payment system. Franchise owners do not need to use a separate platform or ordering system. After registering a payment-only card in the existing order management system, they can select merchandise-payment transactions and switch them to card payments. The card-payment fees incurred in the process will be fully covered by headquarters.
A The BORN Korea representative said, "As merchandise payments are recurring expenses in operating a franchise, we expect this system to greatly help distribute franchise owners’ cash-spending burden ahead of the holiday, when demand for funds increases. We hope the new system will allow franchise owners to choose payment methods suited to each store’s circumstances and use their operating funds more flexibly."
