[Financial News] Yuhan Corporation conducted a corporate tour program for university and high school students to experience the pharmaceutical industry and corporate operations firsthand.
Yuhan Corporation announced on the 16th that it conducted corporate tour programs for students from the Department of Business Administration at Dongduk Women's University and high school students, respectively, at its Seoul headquarters and Willow House on the 11th.
About 30 students from the Department of Business Administration at Dongduk Women's University listened to explanations from working-level staff regarding Yuhan Corporation's business divisions and marketing roles to experience the practical aspects of the pharmaceutical industry. Afterwards, guided by a professional docent, they toured the exhibition space featuring the life of founder Dr. Ilhan New and the company's history, as well as the displays of pharmaceuticals and healthcare products.
The program for high school students was conducted in conjunction with the Ministry of Employment and Labor (MOEL)'s 'Customized Employment Service for High School Students' project. This initiative supports career exploration and job understanding for students in vocational and general high schools, and is managed by Yuhan University, the implementing agency. Approximately 30 high school students participated on this day.
After examining Yuhan Corporation's history and business areas through the Willow House exhibition space and related videos, the students listened to a lecture on the theme of "Understanding the Biohealth Industry and Finding My Career Path." Following this, they had time to explore career paths in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology fields through explanations of the company and key job functions.
Yuhan Corporation was responsible for the corporate tour space and job introductions, while Yuhan University handled student guidance and program operation.
Willow House, where the tour took place, is a complex cultural space opened to the public after renovating Yuhan Corporation's former headquarters. It features the Yuhan Archive, which includes a Memorial Hall introducing the life of founder Dr. Ilhan New and the company's history, as well as a Vision Hall outlining future business directions.
"We designed the program so that students can directly observe and understand the pharmaceutical industry and corporate operations," said a Yuhan Corporation official. "We will continue to cooperate with schools and institutions to provide opportunities for career exploration."
