Seoul Kids Cafes Open Even During Chuseok... 1 Billion Won in Seoul Kids Cafe Money Added

[Financial News] 'Seoul Kids Cafes' will open throughout Seoul during the Chuseok holiday period. To mark the holiday, the Seoul Metropolitan Government is also issuing an additional 1 billion won worth of 'Seoul Kids Cafe Money,' which allows users to visit private kids cafes at a 20% discount. The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 16th that it will operate Seoul Kids Cafes during the four-day Chuseok holiday, including the weekend, and will begin selling Seoul Kids Cafe Money starting at 10 a.m. on the 18th.
The Municipal Craft Village Branch and Ompang Branch will operate throughout the Chuseok holiday period. On the following weekend, the 26th and 27th, a total of 87 Seoul Kids Cafes will open. Among them, nine large-scale municipal kids cafes, including Municipal Branch No. 1 and Ttukseom Jabeolle Branch, will operate without closing during the weekend.
Currently, a total of 198 Seoul Kids Cafes are in operation, including 15 municipal, 122 district, and 61 private locations. They are primarily available for children aged 0 to 9, and some facilities allow elementary school students to use them if accompanied by siblings.
Not only Seoul citizens but also residents with a place of residence in Seoul, who work or have a business there, can use them with their children. Residents from other regions can also use them if accompanied by a family member who is a Seoul citizen.
The 'Seoul Type Kids Cafe,' which opened last May at the Seoul Forest outdoor playground, can be used 365 days a year without a separate fee or reservation.
Additional Seoul Kids Cafe Money will also be issued to reduce the burden of using private kids cafes. The issuance scale is 1 billion won, representing the final volume out of the total 4.5 billion won scheduled for this year. The 3.5 billion won worth issued in two previous rounds sold out early, and approximately 24,000 people benefited from discounted purchases.
Seoul Kids Cafe Money is an exclusive voucher that can be used at private kids cafes certified by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and can be purchased at a 20% discount off the face value. Currently, there are 61 private kids cafes where it can be used.
Gift certificates can be purchased up to a maximum of 200,000 won per person per month on Seoul Pay+, with a holding limit of 500,000 won. They can be used for two years from the date of purchase.
Ma Chae-sook, Director of the Women and Family Affairs Office of the Seoul Metropolitan Government, said, "We will keep many Seoul Kids Cafes open during the Chuseok holiday and issue Seoul Kids Cafe Money so that they can be used at more affordable rates at private kids cafes certified by the Seoul Metropolitan Government."
