SK hynix’s Revised Wage and Collective Bargaining Agreement Approved in Revote with 57% Support

[Financial News] SK hynix’s labor and management reached an agreement after union members approved a revised wage and collective bargaining proposal following the rejection of the initial tentative agreement. The approval came about three weeks after the first tentative agreement was rejected by a margin of just 25 votes.
According to industry sources on the 16th, the revised proposal was approved with 57.08% support, or 8,731 votes, in a union-wide vote on the “2026 Wage and Collective Bargaining Revised Agreement” conducted over two days starting on the 15th by the union representing SK hynix’s regular production employees in Icheon and Cheongju.
As a result, SK hynix’s labor and management concluded their wage and collective bargaining negotiations about three weeks after the initial tentative agreement was narrowly rejected on the 25th of last month.
The key change in the revised proposal concerns the payment method for profit-sharing payments (PS). The basic allocation was adjusted from “40% cash and 60% stock” to “50% cash and 50% stock.” In particular, employees’ choice of stock allocation was expanded: they can now select between 50% and up to 100% in 10-percentage-point increments, giving them greater flexibility.
