[Financial News] MUSINSA will open its first large-scale pop-up store in Osaka, Japan, next month as it expands its offline business in the country.
According to MUSINSA on the 16th, the MUSINSA Osaka pop-up will run for 17 days, from October 23 to November 8, at Grand Green Osaka VS, a mixed-use cultural complex in Osaka’s Umeda commercial district. About 70 Korean fashion and beauty brands selected by MUSINSA based on local customer data will participate.
MUSINSA has held five offline pop-ups in Japan, primarily in Tokyo, since April 2023. In Osaka, it operated a short-term pop-up with 11 brands at Hankyu Department Store in 2023, but this will be its first standalone large-scale pop-up store there.
MUSINSA plans to use this pop-up to assess emerging brands’ potential in the Japanese market. Of the more than 200 emerging brands that previously participated in its Tokyo pop-ups, 38 made their first entry into Japan’s offline market through those events.
A MUSINSA representative said, "Through this pop-up, we will support emerging brands in gaining new customer segments not only in Tokyo but also in the Kansai region, while expanding their recognition in major Japanese cities."
