[Financial News] Incheon International Airport Corporation is enhancing transparency in its operations by strengthening information disclosure for lease contracts and streamlining procedures for submitting contract documents. The corporation reviewed the results of departmental integrity activities, focusing on procedural improvements that contractors and tenants can experience firsthand. It plans to share the initiatives selected as exemplary cases internally and expand their application.
Incheon International Airport Corporation announced on the 16th that it held the “Meeting to Review the Implementation of the Anti-Corruption and Integrity Action Plan and Integrity Initiative Performance Reporting Event” in the corporation’s meeting room on the 15th. About 50 employees attended, including acting president Kim Beom-ho, standing auditor committee member Jang Jong-hyun, executives, and officials from relevant departments.
Participants reviewed the annual anti-corruption and integrity action plan’s implementation results and the operating status of the working-level implementation group. They also held presentations and a final review for six initiatives that had passed the first round of screening among those identified by each department.
“Establishing a user-centered communication system for lease contracts” was selected as the top initiative. It received high marks for establishing a communication system related to lease contracts, strengthening information disclosure, and improving work procedures around users and contractors.
The two exemplary initiatives were “Building an integrity ecosystem for stakeholders through civil complaint interface management” and “Improving document receipt procedures and submission documents.” These initiatives expanded communication with tenants to improve the working environment, while simplifying contract procedures and strengthening advance guidance on matters requiring attention.
The corporation plans to share the three selected initiatives internally to enhance operational transparency and spread a culture of integrity. In accordance with its annual action plan, it is also conducting activities such as a joint integrity and ethics week with its subsidiaries, on-site integrity communication training, and a survey of the human rights conditions of resident employees.
Acting president Kim Beom-ho said, “Through this performance reporting event, we were able to confirm outstanding results that stakeholders inside and outside the organization can experience firsthand, including improvements to contract and leasing processes.” He added, “Going forward, under the belief that integrity is a fundamental principle that cannot be compromised, we will continue working to spread a culture of integrity throughout the organization and become a public corporation trusted even more by both the public and our stakeholders.”
