[Financial News] Simon Kim, CEO of Hashed, will participate as a discussion speaker at the Abu Dhabi Investment Forum in Seoul. According to the cryptocurrency industry on the 16th, Hashed, a cryptocurrency-focused investment firm, said Simon Kim will participate as a discussion speaker at the Seoul event of the Abu Dhabi Investment Forum (ADIF), which will be held in Seoul on the 16th. Kim will take part in a session titled “Abu Dhabi as a Gateway to India and Africa.”
ADIF Seoul is an invitation-only forum organized by the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO). It will be held on the 16th at JW Marriott Hotel Seoul in Jongno-gu, Seoul. The forum comes as Abu Dhabi expands its role from an investment entity that allocates capital to a hub that directly attracts industries. The Abu Dhabi Investment Office is a government agency that provides support through a single window, from licensing to the launch of operations. It operates four industry clusters: smart and autonomous driving, agri-food and water, healthcare, and fintech and digital assets. Abu Dhabi’s non-oil exports increased by 15.1% between 2023 and 2024, while ADIO aims to generate approximately $1.36 billion (about 1.8 trillion won) in additional gross domestic product (GDP) through its cluster program in 2025 and 2026.
Along with its headquarters in Seoul, Hashed has offices in San Francisco, Singapore, Bangkok, Bengaluru and Abu Dhabi. Through its Abu Dhabi office, the company has supported Korean companies’ expansion into the Middle East and helped connect them with local institutions and regulators.
During the discussion, Kim will address an approach that involves establishing a business structure in Abu Dhabi before expanding into neighboring markets such as India and Africa. He will also discuss the conditions Korean companies face when implementing this strategy.
