LOTTE Outlets – Esia Polis Branch will hold the Daegu–North Gyeongsang Traditional Liquor Festival at the central plaza on the first floor from the 18th to the 20th.
The event was organized as part of a win-win project launched after a meeting with the leadership of the Daegu Traditional Liquor Industry Development Council in July.
The festival was arranged ahead of Chuseok to help local breweries in Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province expand their sales channels and introduce traditional liquors made with regional agricultural products to customers.
Choi Jong-hoon, manager of LOTTE Outlets – Esia Polis Branch, said, "We organized this event to introduce customers to a variety of traditional liquors made by local breweries for Chuseok and to provide local producers with new sales channels." He added, "We will continue to develop win-win content that enables us to work with local producers."
Six breweries will participate in the event: Bullo Agricultural Corporation, Dalseong Brewery, Chilbaek Brewery, Sanghwa Brewery, Daegu Traditional Liquor, and Neujigol Traditional Liquor. They will offer a variety of regional specialty liquors, including takju, makgeolli, and distilled spirits, priced from 9,000 won to the 50,000-won range.
Bullo Agricultural Corporation will present Gamu Eoheung Makgeolli, a regional specialty liquor developed by the Dong-gu Bullo-dong Urban Regeneration Field Support Center in Daegu. The product combines Daegu-grown glutinous rice and rice with Daegu apples, giving it a rich fruity aroma and natural acidity.
Dalseong Brewery will introduce traditional liquor made with Yuga glutinous rice, while Chilbaek Brewery will showcase products made with Jinju rice and melons grown by the brewery itself. Sanghwa Brewery has prepared distinctive products featuring mint and cherries, and Daegu Traditional Liquor will present a specialty liquor made with sprouted ginseng. Neujigol Traditional Liquor will introduce traditional “oyangju,” which has been fermented and aged for more than five months.
Traditional-liquor tasting events will also be held throughout the festival. Customers who spend at least 50,000 won will receive L.POINT rewards worth 3,000 won.
