“You Should Probably Tell Your Husband Directly”... Reactions Pour In After Song Ji-eun’s Tearful Confession

[Financial News] YouTuber Park We has remained silent without any notable activity for more than three weeks following a series of controversies, while his wife, Song Ji-eun, appeared on a television program. Song Ji-eun spoke about her faith through tears, but some online users responded critically.
Song Ji-eun co-hosted CBS TV’s ‘Refresh My Soul,’ released on the 14th, with Joo Young-hoon and Lee Jung-soo. She continued with her scheduled television activities following the broadcast on the 7th.
The program featured Jin Seong-ae, a church elder who had lost her 17-year-old eldest son. As she listened to Jin Seong-ae’s story, Song Ji-eun also shed tears and showed empathy.
Song Ji-eun said, “It must have been so difficult to talk about, so thank you for sharing your life for the sake of so many people. Don’t we often call children ‘angels’? It feels as though an angel visited this family.”
Then, through tears, she added, “I am so grateful that I have been allowed to live with the hope that I, too, can leave behind footprints carrying the fragrance of Jesus in the life of my family and in someone else’s life.”
However, as controversy surrounding Park We continued, some online users reacted negatively to Song Ji-eun’s remarks.
Comments on the related content included, “Tell your husband to love his neighbor first.” Other opinions followed, including, “Song Ji-eun is so kind,” “Why come forward now?” and “You should probably convey that directly to Park We.”
However, it has not been confirmed whether the program was recorded after the controversy surrounding Park We began.
Earlier, Park We faced criticism after releasing CCTV footage showing him falling when the wheel of his wheelchair caught on the foot of a social service worker as he was getting off a KTX train. Public criticism intensified after it became known that the incident occurred while the worker was helping him and that the worker apologized at the scene. Park We later deleted the footage and apologized.
The controversy continued for more than three weeks as videos from his past also drew renewed attention. Criticism persisted after a video resurfaced in which he appeared to question whether a visually impaired YouTuber actually had a disability. The subscriber count of his YouTube channel ‘Weracle,’ which had once exceeded one million, fell to the 940,000 range.
While Park We has remained inactive since apologizing, Song Ji-eun appeared on television. As criticism of Park We continued, some online users also responded critically to Song Ji-eun’s expression of faith.
