[Financial News] ChildFund Korea and Yulsite will provide 1,000 exhibition art merchandise items to children from vulnerable backgrounds nationwide. The initiative aims to help them encounter art in their daily lives and develop their creativity.
ChildFund Korea, a specialized child welfare organization, said on the 15th that Yulsite, a design and branding company, donated 5.39 million won worth of official merchandise from the Soma Museum of Art exhibition “PICTURE BOOKS COME ALIVE!”
The donated items include postcards, memo pads, magnets, key rings, and phone grips. ChildFund Korea plans to distribute them to children from single-mother families and other vulnerable backgrounds.
“PICTURE BOOKS COME ALIVE!” was held at Gallery 2 of the Soma Museum of Art from April 17 to the 6th of this month. The exhibition featured 141 original works by nine picture-book artists, along with video media and interactive exhibits.
The two organizations held a ceremony to deliver the donated items on the 14th at the Children’s Foundation Building in Jung District, Seoul. This was the first time Yulsite had made a donation through ChildFund Korea.
Yulsite CEO Kwon Yul said, “I saw children enjoying themselves while viewing the works at the exhibition and wanted to share that experience with more children. Through this donation, I hope children can encounter a variety of works in their daily lives and develop new curiosity and joy.”
Park Chan-kyung, director of ChildFund Korea’s Social Contribution Project Center, said, “I hope this donation will help children experience culture and the arts in their daily lives and discover new sources of joy.” Park added that ChildFund Korea would continue its support to broaden children’s cultural and artistic experiences.
