Waters off Sinan’s Heuksando Island shaken at 38-minute interval...Magnitude 2.2 earthquake followed by 2.9

[Financial News] Two earthquakes occurred 38 minutes apart in succession in waters near Heuksando Island, Sinan County, South Jeolla Province, on the night of the 15th.
According to the Korean Meteorological Administration, a magnitude 2.9 earthquake occurred at 9:22:49 p.m. that day in waters 121 kilometers north-northwest of Heuksando Island, Sinan County, South Jeolla Province. The epicenter was located at 35.62 degrees north latitude and 124.77 degrees east longitude.
Earlier, at 8:44:17 p.m., 38 minutes before the second quake, a magnitude 2.2 earthquake occurred in waters 123 kilometers north-northwest of Heuksando Island. Its epicenter was at 35.63 degrees north latitude and 124.75 degrees east longitude, and the earthquake occurred at a depth of 5 kilometers.
Both earthquakes registered a maximum instrumental intensity of I (1). Instrumental intensity I indicates a level that most people cannot feel, although it is recorded by seismometers.
A Korean Meteorological Administration official stated, "Both earthquakes occurred offshore and were small in magnitude, so no damage is expected from them."
