JIPYONG LLC Recruits Former MOLIT Regional Policy Division Chief Jung Seung-hyun to Strengthen Land and Transportation Litigation [Law Firm News]

[Financial News] JIPYONG LLC has recruited Jung Seung-hyun, an attorney from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) and a 34th-class graduate of the Judicial Research and Training Institute, to strengthen its litigation practice in the land and transportation sectors.
Jung previously served as chief of the Regional Policy Division at MOLIT’s Land and Urban Office and as a planning officer at the Planning Group for the Development of the East, West, and South Coasts and Inland Regions. After passing both the bar examination and the senior civil service examination in 2002, he entered public service and spent 22 years building expertise in land, urban, housing, land-use, construction, and automobile policies, as well as auditing.
He is regarded as a construction and real estate expert with experience in both reconstruction and redevelopment projects and urban planning, two core areas of the land and transportation sector. During his time at MOLIT, he handled policy development, legislative affairs, project planning, and permitting for construction disputes and real estate development, including reconstruction and redevelopment, urban planning, urban regeneration, regional development, audits, real-transaction investigations, and investigations into collusion on housing prices.
He also served as a land and transportation attaché at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Kuwait, where he coordinated difficulties faced by Korean construction companies operating in the Middle East. He is also considered to have developed an understanding of overseas construction and infrastructure through his work supporting smart-city exports and international bidding.
Jung will provide legal advice on reconstruction and redevelopment, urban planning, urban regeneration, regional development, real estate development, and construction matters within JIPYONG LLC’s Construction and Real Estate Group. He will also handle policy and regulatory responses.
