"Amid the Seoul city bus strike notice"... Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL) adds 14 commuter trains

[Financial News] As the Seoul city bus workers' union has announced a strike for the upcoming 16th, raising concerns about "traffic chaos" during commutes in the metropolitan area, Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL) has established emergency transportation measures.
KORAIL announced on the 15th that it would deploy additional temporary electric trains to reduce inconvenience to citizens and alleviate railway congestion in the metropolitan area if the bus strike materializes.
KORAIL will increase the number of electric trains by a total of 14 during rush hour, when passenger numbers surge. The routes with increased service are the four lines where major commuter demand is concentrated: the Gyeongbu Line, Gyeongin Line, Gyeongwon Line, and Suin–Bundang Line. Nine additional trains will be scheduled during the morning rush hour, when congestion is most severe, and five additional trains during the evening rush hour.
In addition to increasing the frequency of electric trains, KORAIL plans to significantly strengthen safety management personnel at major transfer stations and congested stations. It has decided to urgently deploy employees from headquarters and regional offices to key hub stations, such as Sindorim Station, Sadang Station, and Cheongnyangni station, where a large influx of passengers is expected as an alternative to buses, to disperse passenger flow and maintain order on platforms.
