Kakao Games acquires casual game company Me 2 On for 98 billion won [Regulatory filing]

[Financial News] Kakao Games will become the largest shareholder of casual game company Me 2 On.
Kakao Games announced in a regulatory filing on the 15th that it will acquire 16,828,508 shares of Me 2 On for approximately 98 billion won.
Once the transaction is completed, Kakao Games will become Me 2 On's largest shareholder, holding a 39.56% stake. The scheduled acquisition date is November 16.
Founded in 2010, Me 2 On operates in the social casino and casual game sectors across Asia, North America and Europe. The company was listed on KOSDAQ (Korea Securities Dealers Automated Quotations) in 2016 and recorded revenue of 120.9 billion won and operating profit of 12.6 billion won last year.
Me 2 On has Ghost Studio and ACE Interactive Holdings under its umbrella. Beyond games, it is expanding into dramas, webtoons and web novels.
