Eight Public Institutions, Including the HIRA Seoul Headquarters, Donate 3,400 Items to Goodwill Store

[Financial News] Eight public institutions, including the Seoul Headquarters of the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service, donated approximately 3,400 items, including clothing and household goods, to vocational rehabilitation facilities for people with disabilities.
The Seoul Headquarters of the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service announced on the 15th that it held a donation ceremony to deliver items collected through a joint donation campaign with eight public institutions to Goodwill Store, a vocational rehabilitation facility for people with disabilities.
This campaign was organized to practice resource circulation by recycling unused items and to support employment and economic independence for people with severe disabilities. Held for the second consecutive year, following last year, the campaign collected approximately 3,400 items, including clothing and household goods, through the voluntary participation of employees from the participating organizations.
The participating organizations are the Seoul Headquarters of the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service; the Songpa Branch of the National Health Insurance Service; the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation (KSPO); the Seoul Agro-Fisheries & Food Corporation; the Songpa District Facilities Management Corporation; the Seoul Headquarters of the Korea Communications Agency; the Korea Sports Industry Company; and the Korea Marine Environment Corporation.
Goodwill Store is a vocational rehabilitation facility where workers with disabilities directly sort and sell donated items. The proceeds from sales are used to provide jobs for people with disabilities and support their economic independence.
Choi Won-hee, head of the Seoul Headquarters of the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service, said, "It is meaningful that eight organizations have joined forces again this year, following last year, to share in meaningful efforts for resource recycling and job support," adding, "We will continue to cooperate with local community organizations to carry out social contribution activities that provide practical help to the community."
