Humanoids Move Beyond Factories as IL Builds Service Data

[Financial News] IL, an embodied AI data platform company, is expanding the use of humanoid robots from manufacturing sites to service areas such as performances and exhibitions. Its strategy is to collect interaction data from real users and strengthen its competitive edge in humanoid AI training.
According to industry sources on the 15th, IL will supply its humanoid robot, IL Bot H2, to Galaxy Robot Park, a robot-themed cultural complex operated by Galaxy Corporation.
Galaxy Robot Park offers a range of hands-on content, including performances that combine K-pop with robotic technology, as well as robot piloting and interaction, drawing, and piano performances.
Through this supply agreement, IL plans to expand the application of humanoid robots beyond manufacturing and industrial sites to performances, exhibitions, and other hands-on services. Unlike manufacturing environments, these settings allow robots to interact directly with visitors, enabling IL to collect data on human-robot interactions.
IL is pursuing a strategy of accumulating different types of data from manufacturing and service environments. At manufacturing sites, it collects data generated during work and movement, equipment operation, and the handling and recovery of disruptions. In service settings, it gathers data from interactions with visitors and the operation of various content.
Jung Moon-sik, IL’s Chief AI Officer (CAIO), said, "The competitiveness of embodied AI depends on how effectively robots are operated in diverse real-world environments, how much high-quality data is collected, and how well that data is connected to AI training. We will continue expanding the application of humanoid AI by securing not only work data from manufacturing sites but also interaction data generated in service spaces where robots communicate directly with people."
IL plans to expand its humanoid robot supply business in service sectors such as performances, exhibitions, brand promotions, and retail. The company operates businesses involving Silicon Lens, automotive electronic components, humanoid robots, and embodied AI data platforms.
