Gangwon Development Corporation Hosts '2026 Integrity Festival' with 23 Public-Private Institutions

【Financial News Chuncheon = Kim Ki-seop】Twenty-three public and private institutions in Gangwon gathered to pledge their commitment to integrity.
According to Gangwon Development Corporation on the 15th, the 2026 Integrity Festival was held that day at the Gangwon Music Creation Center, with 23 member institutions of the Gangwon State Integrity Society Public-Private Council participating. Hosted by the Gangwon Integrity Society Public-Private Council and organized by Gangwon Development Corporation, the event was designed to share the value of integrity between the public and private sectors and strengthen cooperation among the institutions.
Woo Sang-ho, governor of Gangwon State, along with the heads, executives and employees of 23 public and private institutions in the province, attended the event and joined in the commitment to uphold integrity. The program included a declaration and signing ceremony pledging to fulfill an integrity agreement, a special lecture on integrity by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission (ACRC), the sharing of exemplary integrity and anti-corruption initiatives, and an integrity-themed cultural performance. Through the declaration and signing, the heads of the participating institutions reaffirmed their commitment to faithfully carrying out their respective action plans and cooperating with one another.
Woo Sang-ho, governor of Gangwon State, said, "Because corruption can begin with a small compromise, it is important to have the courage to uphold principles." He added, "Integrity must be demonstrated through concrete action, not merely through determination. When a clean Gangwon and an ethical Gangwon come together, the brand value of Gangwon State will also rise."
Kim Tae-heon, president of Gangwon Development Corporation, said, "It is important that integrity become ingrained in everyday work and on the ground, rather than ending with the signing of an agreement and a pledge." He added, "I hope this gathering, where 23 public and private institutions have joined hands, will serve as a starting point for expanding a culture of integrity throughout the local community."
