Jeonbuk State to Operate Emergency Medical Care System During Chuseok Holiday

【Financial News, Jeonju = Kang In】 Jeonbuk State will operate an emergency medical care system during the Chuseok holiday.
According to Jeonbuk State on the 15th, an “emergency medical care system for the Chuseok holiday” will operate for four days from the 24th to the 27th, centered on emergency medical institutions, hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies across the province.
Twenty emergency medical institutions and one emergency medical facility in the province will maintain 24-hour care as usual throughout the holiday. To ease overcrowding in emergency rooms and ensure smooth treatment for patients with mild symptoms, an average of 152 hospitals and clinics and 127 pharmacies will also remain open each day.
Jeonbuk State and its 14 cities and counties will maintain 24-hour emergency contact systems and operate emergency medical care situation rooms throughout the holiday period.
During this period, Jeonbuk’s emergency medical institutions will include two regional emergency medical centers—Jeonbuk National University Hospital and Wonkwang University Hospital; eight local emergency medical centers—Yesu Hospital, Jeonju Hospital, Daeja-in Hospital, Gunsan Medical Center, Donggunsan Hospital, Iksan Hospital, Jeongeup Asan Hospital, and Namwon Medical Center; and 10 local emergency medical institutions—Hoseong Jeonju Hospital, Jeonju Segang Hospital, Gimje Woosuk Hospital, Jinangun Medical Center, Muju County Health and Medical Center, Jangsu County Health and Medical Center, Imsil County Health and Medical Center, Sunchang County Health and Medical Center, Gochang General Hospital, and Buan St. Mary’s Hospital. One emergency medical facility, Jeonju Korea Hospital, will also operate.
The seven Moonlight Children’s Hospitals will be Dasol Children’s Hospital; Haemalgeun Union Pediatrics, which will be closed on the 25th; Daeja-in Hospital; All Kids 365 Pediatrics Clinic, which will be closed on the 25th; Kium Hospital, which will be closed on the 25th; Mideum Hospital; and Angel Union Pediatrics.
A Jeonbuk State official said, "We will operate the emergency medical care situation rooms and emergency contact systems thoroughly to prevent any gaps in medical care during the Chuseok holiday."
