Hyundai Green Food to Establish K-Food Production Base in Kazakhstan

[Financial News] Hyundai Green Food, an integrated food company affiliated with Hyundai Department Store Group, is establishing a K-food production base in Kazakhstan, an emerging country in Central Asia.
Hyundai Green Food said on the 15th that it had signed a “Strategic Partnership for the Construction of a Food Production Plant” with the Alatau City Administration that day.
The Alatau City Administration is a special administrative body in Kazakhstan responsible for Alatau City’s development, attracting investment, and overall city operations.
Alatau City is a mega-scale new city being developed north of Almaty, Kazakhstan’s largest economic city. It is being developed as a smart city with four core functions: industry, finance, tourism, and education.
Under the agreement, Hyundai Green Food will build a K-food production facility in the new Alatau City. It will also work with the Alatau City Administration to explore cooperation in various areas, including food production, logistics infrastructure, and production automation.
Park Hong-jin, president of Hyundai Green Food, said, “Based on this agreement, we plan to develop the planned K-food production facility into a forward base for exporting K-food to Central Asia over the medium to long term.”
Meanwhile, the signing ceremony was held as part of the Korea–Kazakhstan Business Roundtable. Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, South Korean Prime Minister Han Seong-sook, and government and business representatives from both countries attended the event.
