Korea Aerospace University–Ilsan Paik Hospital Join Hands on Healthcare and Graduate Education

[Financial News] Korea Aerospace University and Inje University Ilsan Paik Hospital have joined forces to expand healthcare and educational opportunities for members of both institutions.
KAU and Ilsan Paik Hospital signed a memorandum of understanding at KAU’s main building on the 15th. The agreement focuses on mutually beneficial cooperation: establishing a healthcare safety net for university members while opening up higher-education opportunities for hospital employees.
Under the agreement, Ilsan Paik Hospital will provide convenient medical services not only to KAU students and faculty and staff but also to their families. The two institutions will also offer health lectures on campus and mental-health counseling programs for students and faculty and staff.
KAU will provide educational support for hospital employees. If an Ilsan Paik Hospital employee enrolls in KAU’s graduate school, the university will provide a scholarship to help the employee develop professional expertise. Faculty and staff members and their families will also be able to visit the university’s Aerospace Museum and aircraft on outdoor display as part of a cultural exchange program.
Hee-young Heo, president of KAU, said, "We have established a practical foundation for cooperation to support the health and welfare of our members." He added, "We will broaden the scope of our cooperation beyond healthcare and health promotion to include education and culture."
Won-joo Choi, director of Ilsan Paik Hospital, said, "It is meaningful to be able to provide convenient medical services to KAU members." He added, "Through continued exchanges, we will contribute to improving the health and welfare of members of both institutions." \u00a0
