[Financial News] The Bank of Korea (BOK) announced on the 15th that it is accepting applications from emerging artists in the arts sector, including Korean painting, Western painting, and sculpture. The categories open for application include two-dimensional arts such as Korean painting, Western painting, photography, and printmaking, as well as three-dimensional arts such as sculpture and crafts.
Applications will be accepted from October 13 to 23.
Eligibility is open to South Korean artists aged 40 or younger (born after January 1, 1987) who have held 20 or fewer solo exhibitions.
Students currently enrolled in elementary, middle, and high schools, as well as universities (undergraduate), are excluded (including students on leave of absence and those expected to graduate).
The evaluation will be conducted by an Artist Selection Committee composed of external experts. Following the first round of portfolio review on November 4 and the second round of presentation review on November 18, the selected candidates will be announced on November 25.
Five to seven selected artists will hold an exhibition at the Bank of Korea Gallery. Each artist may exhibit approximately three to five previously unreleased new works.
