[Financial News] Actress Lee Da-hae revealed that she is currently living in a luxury home in Shanghai with an estimated sale price of 5 billion won, paying monthly rent of 6 million won.
Appearing on the tvN STORY entertainment program "What Are You Going to Leave Behind?" on the 14th, Lee Da-hae discussed her life in China and said, "The home I currently live in is worth approximately 5 billion won, and the monthly rent is about 6 million won."
Asked why she rents instead of buying a home despite owning substantial assets in Korea and abroad, Lee Da-hae cited local real estate regulations.
Lee Da-hae explained, "Just as South Korea has its four major social insurance programs, China has social insurance," adding, "You must stay in Shanghai, pay taxes, and reside there for a certain period before becoming eligible to purchase a home." She continued, "I plan to buy a home next year after meeting those requirements."
Lee Da-hae's rental life in Shanghai has drawn attention, bringing renewed focus to the domestic real estate she owns with her husband, Seven. The couple reportedly owns three buildings in Gangnam, Seoul, and Mapo, with a combined value of 32.5 billion won.
Meanwhile, Lee Da-hae and Seven married in May 2023 after dating publicly for eight years. The couple announced in May that they were expecting their first child and are due to give birth in December.
