"She Ate All the Tteokbokki, Then ‘Sneakily’ Added Her Hair"... Woman Who Got a 5,000-Won Refund Caught on CCTV

[Financial News] A customer who secretly put her own hair into the tteokbokki she ordered and then demanded a refund has come under fire after CCTV footage captured the staged hoax in full.
On the 14th, JTBC’s “Scandal Supervisor” featured the story of Person A, who runs a snack bar in a traditional market in Seoul.
According to Person A, a female customer entered the shop shortly before closing on the 9th and ordered tteokbokki. After eating nearly all of it, the customer called Person A over and reportedly demanded a refund, saying, "There was a hair in the tteokbokki."
The customer had eaten almost everything, leaving only three or four rice cakes. Person A refunded the 5,000-won cost of the tteokbokki and apologized repeatedly. However, the customer reportedly continued to act irritated and frowned.
After the customer left, Person A reviewed the CCTV footage and was shocked. The footage showed the customer pulling out her own hair and putting it into the tteokbokki.
Person A said, "The customer kept looking around, as if she was checking where the CCTV cameras were," adding, "She had brought a tissue folded in half and unfolded it while eating."
Person A continued, "It is presumed that she had brought the hair inside the tissue, but when it fell onto the floor, she pulled out a strand right there," and added, "I was horrified by how deliberate the customer’s actions appeared. I reported it because I was worried that other merchants might also become victims."
Attorney Jihoon Park, who heard about the case, emphasized, "Eating almost all of the food and then dropping your own hair into it constitutes obstruction of business and is a crime. You should never do something like that."
