Huh Sung-wook, Chairman of the CPO Forum, and Brett Matthes, Chief Information Security Officer at Coupang, were appointed as co-chairs. Chairman Huh is an expert in ICT and digital policy who served as the Director of Network Policy at the Ministry of Science and ICT and as the President of the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA).

Starting with its first meeting today, the Advisory Committee plans to hold regular quarterly meetings. It reviews the latest changes in laws and regulations and trends in security threats, and provides advice on Coupang's major security issues and overall policies.
Coupang plans to continuously enhance its security management system by reflecting the advisory results in its internal security policies and business processes. At the meeting, the company shared its customer data protection activities with the committee members and discussed future improvement directions.
