Chairman of Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone Authority Visits Welfare Facilities Ahead of Chuseok

[Financial News] The Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone Authority, together with Busan Bank and Kyongnam Bank, visited local child welfare facilities and residential facilities for people with disabilities on the 15th, ahead of the Chuseok holiday, and delivered encouragement funds and goods.
That day, Chairman Park Seong-ho and Kim Hong-bok, branch manager of Busan Bank’s Noksan Industrial Complex Financial Center, visited Soyang Rainbow Garden. Chairman Park was accompanied by Kim Young-soo, head of Kyongnam Bank’s Yongwon Financial Center, at Haneul Garden.
The participants toured the facilities, communicated with staff members, and listened to their views from the field.
Soyang Rainbow Garden was established in 1946 in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province, as Soyang Orphanage. After the Korean War, it moved to Busan and settled on Gadeokdo in 1951. It currently operates as a child welfare facility with capacity for 142 children.
Haneul Garden is a residential facility for people with disabilities operated by the Dream Foundation, a social welfare corporation. It provides customized welfare services, including medical and social rehabilitation, and currently accommodates 30 people with disabilities.
Chairman Park stated, "I am pleased to share warmth with the local community together with Busan Bank and Kyongnam Bank ahead of Chuseok." He added, "We will continue working to spread the value of sharing and build a warm community based on solidarity and cooperation with the local community."
