"Why Didn't You Give Me My Drink?" Customer Throws Cup of Hot Coffee at Part-Time Worker’s Face

[Financial News] A man who spilled hot coffee on a female part-time worker at a café in Namyangju-si, Gyeonggi Province, causing burns, was apprehended by police. After being questioned by police, he reportedly returned to the café and later made remarks during a phone call that suggested retaliation.
On the 14th, JTBC's Scandal Supervisor introduced a report from A, who runs a café in Namyangju-si, Gyeonggi Province. According to the account, at around 9:44 a.m. on the 17th of last month, a male customer, B, visited A's café and ordered three drinks.
At the time, a female part-time worker, C, was working alone. After preparing the drinks, C placed them on the pickup counter and called out to B. However, B did not notice them and, while waiting, began complaining, "Why aren't you giving me my drinks?"
C explained, "I put them on the pickup counter" and "I called out the number three times," but B continued to complain. B reportedly caused a disturbance, saying, "If I say something, you should just say, 'I'm sorry.' Do you have to keep talking back?"
B eventually struck the coffees on the counter toward C, and hot coffee hit her face, causing burns. As B left the café, he reportedly said, "What kind of person is this? Call the police," before officers responding to the report apprehended him at the scene.
About two hours after being questioned by police, B returned to the café. He had prepared bread and other items to apologize to C, but she had already been taken to the emergency room, leaving only A at the café. B told A, "I have nothing to say to you," and then left.
A recording of a phone call between B and an acquaintance, obtained by Scandal Supervisor, also reportedly showed B making remarks that appeared to shift the blame to C. B said, "I went there to have a cup of coffee, and that rude little brat..." He continued, "She got some burns on her face, but it's not something to worry about." He also said, "I went to the café because the police told me to go and talk things over properly."
B also continued making remarks about A. He reportedly said, "That woman said, 'Why did you come here?' in front of everyone. I won't forgive her. I'm going to install a coffee vending machine in front of the café," suggesting retaliation.
After the incident, all three employees at the café quit, saying they were afraid. A has filed a complaint against B on suspicion of defamation and interference with business operations.
A expressed fear, saying, "I'm anxious because I don't know when B might come back and harm me."
