Oak Valley Resort to Host Winter Half Marathon on Golf Course in December

Oak Valley Resort in Wonju, Gangwon Province, announced on the 15th that it will host the 2026 Oak Valley Winter Half Marathon at Oak Valley CC on December 5.
The event will feature 5-kilometer, 10-kilometer, and 21-kilometer half-marathon courses, along with a 2-kilometer kids' race for families. Unlike conventional city marathons, participants will run along the golf course's cart paths, passing fairways, lakes, and forests.
Oak Valley Resort plans to operate the event as a festival that goes beyond a simple competition for the fastest time, combining winter running with performances, activities, and accommodation. The program will include a celebratory performance by singer Sheon and brand experience programs.
The resort will also sell packages combining shuttle service between Seoul and Oak Valley Resort with overnight stays. For the first 200 customers, it will offer a package that includes race entry and access to the Oak Valley CC clubhouse sauna.
An Oak Valley Resort representative said, "The Winter Half Marathon is being prepared as a winter sports offering that combines not only running but also performances, activities, and accommodation, making it an event that families and their companions can enjoy together."
