The United States Senate will hold a procedural vote on the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act on the 15th local time. The bill, which passed the House of Representatives last year, has faced delays in the Senate because of disagreements between the ruling and opposition parties. Market participants believe that if the bill fails to pass this time, enactment within the year will be difficult.
CoinMarketCap’s “Crypto Fear and Greed Index” stood at 69 on the day, indicating “greed.” The index ranges from 0 to 100: readings closer to 0 indicate “extreme fear,” while those closer to 100 indicate “extreme greed.”
At the same time, Ethereum was trading around $2,517, up 0.48% from the previous day. Ripple (XRP) was trading around $1.42, up 4.89%.
