[Financial News] Hankook Tire will supply original-equipment (OE) tires for Hyundai Motor Company's eighth-generation fully redesigned model, 'The new AVANTE.' Starting with models sold in South Korea, the company plans to expand supplies to standard North American models and European hybrid models. Following the seventh-generation AVANTE, it will continue supplying tires for the new model, further expanding its OE partnership with Hyundai Motor Company.
Hankook Tire & Technology announced on the 15th that it will supply its all-season grand touring tire, 'Kinergy XP,' for South Korean models of The new AVANTE in 17- and 18-inch sizes.
Kinergy XP is an all-season tire designed for various climates and driving conditions. It features a compound and profile design optimized for all-season driving, providing braking and handling performance on wet and snowy roads, along with even wear performance.
The tire also focuses on snow-driving performance and noise reduction. Sipes and special shoulder grooves improve traction on snow, while knurling technology and multi-pitch sequencing reduce road noise. It is designed for installation on various vehicle types, including sedans and sport utility vehicles (SUVs), while also taking mileage performance into account.
Beginning with supplies in South Korea, Hankook Tire plans to sequentially expand its original-equipment tire supplies to standard North American models and European hybrid models of the new AVANTE. The company plans to provide products tailored to the driving conditions and powertrain characteristics of each region.
The range of vehicle models covered by its original-equipment tire partnership with Hyundai Motor Group is also growing. Hankook Tire currently supplies original-equipment tires for sedans, SUVs, electric vehicles, and hydrogen fuel-cell electric vehicles, including Hyundai Ioniq 6, Hyundai Ioniq 9, Kia EV3, Kia EV9, and The all-new NEXO.
