[Financial News] The Hanshin Hyo Volunteer Group, made up of employees of HANSHIN Engineering & Construction, visited Seoul National Cemetery ahead of Chuseok and carried out cemetery cleanup volunteer work.
HANSHIN Engineering & Construction said on the 15th that the Hanshin Hyo Volunteer Group visited Seoul National Cemetery in Dongjak District, Seoul, on the 12th and conducted cemetery cleanup volunteer work. The activity was organized to honor the patriotic martyrs who devoted themselves to the country and to give employees an opportunity to reflect on the meaning of love for their nation during Chuseok, one of Korea’s major traditional holidays.
The volunteers visited cemetery section 47 at Seoul National Cemetery, carefully cleaned the gravestones, and removed weeds from the surrounding area. They also collected litter throughout the section, working up a sweat in the cleanup effort and expressing their gratitude for the noble sacrifices of the patriotic martyrs.
The Hanshin Hyo Volunteer Group was launched in 2015 to put into practice the spirit of filial piety, a core corporate value of HANSHIN Engineering & Construction, and to promote a culture of sharing. In particular, after forming a “one company, one cemetery section” partnership with Seoul National Cemetery in 2023, the group has consistently cared for its designated section and taken the lead in promoting a culture of honoring national veterans and patriots. This year, the company has continued expanding employee-participation volunteer work, beginning with service at the Jongno Cheonsa Free Meal Center in April, followed by activities in May and the cemetery cleanup at Seoul National Cemetery for Chuseok.
A HANSHIN Engineering & Construction official said, “We will continue to honor and appreciate the patriotic martyrs and consistently carry out various sharing activities with the local community, including cemetery cleanup work at Seoul National Cemetery.”
