Ace Kyungam Chairman Ahn Seong-ho Donates Rice Worth 210 Million Won Ahead of Chuseok

Ace Kyungam held a rice donation ceremony at Seongnam City Hall on the 15th and delivered 7,500 10-kilogram bags of white rice to Seongnam-si. The donated rice will be used to support the holiday livelihoods of vulnerable residents in need, including elderly people living alone and households headed by children.
Ace Kyungam’s holiday rice-sharing program has continued since 1999 under the principle that “no one should be left out during the holidays.” Over the past 28 years, the foundation has delivered a cumulative total of 175,260 bags of rice, worth 4.44 billion won.
In particular, considering the growing financial burden on vulnerable groups due to prolonged high prices, the foundation continued its donation of 7,500 bags this Chuseok, following the same contribution made during this year’s Lunar New Year holiday.
Ahn’s efforts carry on the management philosophy of Ace Bed’s founder: “returning corporate profits to society.”
In addition to donating rice to the local community, Ace Kyungam has continued its social contribution activities. In March last year, it donated 500 million won to Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association to help restore areas in Gyeongsang Province affected by major wildfires. It then conducted a housing-recovery campaign with dealerships in Daegu and Gyeongsangbuk-do, providing 150 million won in bed-purchase costs to about 110 households over one year.
“I hope this donation of white rice can offer warm comfort and a bountiful Chuseok to our neighbors going through difficult times,” Ahn said. “Just as with this rice donation, we will continue sharing in ways that provide practical support to the daily lives of local communities and their residents.”
