[Financial News] The skin-diagnosis service previously available only at CJ Olive Young stores will now also be accessible via mobile devices.
CJ Olive Young said on the 15th that OLIVE YOUNG has launched a mobile skin-diagnosis service to strengthen its integrated online-and-offline beauty experience.
The service expands the in-store experiential beauty service Olive Young Skin Scan to the Olive Young app. Previously, customers used dedicated devices installed in stores to photograph and analyze their skin. Going forward, they will be able to check their skin condition with a smartphone without visiting a store.
After completing a brief questionnaire about their skin condition, users can photograph their face with a smartphone or select an existing photo. Artificial intelligence then analyzes their skin. It assesses skin type, pores, pigmentation, moisture, oiliness and wrinkles, and recommends products suited to the user’s skin concerns.
OLIVE YOUNG plans to add a skin-change report, product recommendations that reflect users’ existing skincare habits, and personal-color diagnosis by the end of the year.
An OLIVE YOUNG representative said, "Customers can now regularly monitor changes in their skin through their mobile devices in everyday life and visit a store when they need a more detailed diagnosis, allowing them to experience beauty services that move between online and offline channels according to their circumstances and needs." The representative added, "We will continue to provide differentiated omnichannel shopping experiences."
