According to KODIT on the 15th, the 'Finance That Saves Lives' relay campaign was planned to protect citizens suffering from illegal private lending. It was launched last July under the auspices of the Korea Inclusive Finance Agency to spread the value of 'Finance That Saves Lives' throughout society.
Various organizations, including public institutions, financial companies, and local governments, are participating in the campaign in a relay format.
Chairman Kang was nominated by Jang Min-young, president of Industrial Bank of Korea (IBK), on the 31st of last month. On the 14th of this month, he posted a photo verifying his participation on KODIT's official social media channel, publicizing the purpose of the campaign.
He then nominated Kim, Kyung-Hwan, president of the Korea Housing Finance Corporation (HF), and Jung Jung-hoon, president of the Korea Asset Management Corporation (KAMCO), as the next participants to join the campaign.
Chairman Kang said, "I hope this campaign will serve as an opportunity for more citizens to deeply recognize the seriousness and harmful effects of illegal private lending and take preventive measures." He added, "Going forward, KODIT will do its utmost to spread the social value of inclusive finance throughout society by actively supporting companies in financial blind spots."
