LG Uplus said on the 15th that it participated in IBC (International Broadcasting Convention) 2026, held from the 11th to the 14th at RAI Amsterdam in the Netherlands, where it showcased new home-media products.
IBC is a global exhibition covering broadcasting, media, and entertainment. Telecommunications, broadcasting, content, and platform operators, as well as equipment manufacturers from around the world, take part. This year’s event focused on next-generation media technologies and services, including artificial intelligence (AI), online video services (OTT), cloud computing, and connected homes.
LG Uplus has previously demonstrated technologies jointly developed with partners at IBC, but this was the first time it had displayed pre-launch products at the exhibition.
At this year’s event, the company unveiled an ultra-compact IPTV set-top box, a portable monitor, and a camera-based golf putting simulator at booths operated by Amlogic, KAON Group, and Marusys.
The ultra-compact IPTV set-top box was the smallest IPTV set-top box displayed at the exhibition. LG Uplus highlighted its product competitiveness to visitors and overseas operators, emphasizing its compact design and high level of finish.
The portable monitor emphasized its versatility, allowing users to watch media content indoors or outdoors without being restricted by location. The camera-based golf putting simulator was operated as an interactive exhibit in which visitors could take part in putting games themselves.
During the event, LG Uplus held business meetings with telecommunications and broadcasting operators and equipment manufacturers from Europe, Asia, and Latin America to explore opportunities for entering global markets. The company also plans to use international exhibitions to monitor the latest technology trends in AI, OTT, home connectivity, and media platforms, while identifying new business opportunities.
Park Chan-seung, executive vice president and head of LG Uplus’s Home Business Group, said, "We will continue to promote our competitiveness in next-generation home-media technologies together with our partners and identify various opportunities for cooperation with global operators."
