On the 15th, Kumho Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd. announced that it had secured the construction contract for Suwon Pajang 1 District, located at 212-5, Pajang-dong, Jangan District, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do. The complex will be developed into an apartment complex consisting of four buildings ranging from two basement levels to 28 floors above ground. The construction cost is approximately 92.7 billion won.
Construction is scheduled to begin in February 2031, with completion targeted for February 2034.
The project site is close to Pajang IC on Suwonbukbusunhwan-ro and Buksuwon IC on the Yeongdong Expressway, making it convenient to access the metropolitan road network. Buksuwon Station on the Dongtan–Indeogwon Line is also planned near the complex and is scheduled to open in 2029.
Schools such as Pajang Elementary School and Dasol Elementary School are located nearby, while Pajang Children's Park and Jeongja Culture Park are within walking distance. With the development of North Suwon Techno Valley, a high-tech industrial complex planned in the vicinity, future demand for housing close to workplaces is also anticipated.
"Through this project, our residential brand, ARTERA, is making its first entry into Suwon," a Kumho Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd. official said. "We will create a differentiated landmark complex based on our expertise in redevelopment projects and ARTERA's distinctive specialized design."
Meanwhile, after winning the contract for the Dongsam Park Villa small-scale reconstruction project in Hang-dong, Guro District, Seoul, last year, Kumho Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd. signed a provisional contract for the Changwon Gaeum 3 District reconstruction project in March this year.
