[Financial News] An online story about a “singer who has been unknown for 30 years” singing for a young worker crying at a bus stop at dawn after failing to become a permanent employee—and even sending taxi fare—has drawn widespread attention. 

On the 14th, an X user identified as A posted a message saying, “I’ll share one heartwarming story.” As of 7 a.m. on the 15th, the post had been viewed more than 2.51 million times and spread across various online communities and social media platforms.
According to A, A had completed an internship but failed to become a permanent employee. After drinking late into the night because of feeling depressed, A sat at a bus stop crying while waiting for the first bus. A man then approached and said, “Why are you crying here? I’ll give you money for a taxi, so go home to a warm place and cry.”
A said, “The moment he spoke to me, my tears burst out like a faucet had been turned on,” adding, “I poured out all the grievances I had been holding inside and told him about everything that had upset me during my internship.”

The man then said jokingly, “I’m a singer who has been unknown for 30 years, but I still haven’t given up,” and sang a song on the spot, telling A to listen to his music.
A added, “I’m writing this because the situation was so funny and touching,” and, “He sang with such passion that the veins stood out in his neck, but I’m sorry I didn’t know what song it was.”
Although A said it was unnecessary and declined, the man sent 38,540 won for a taxi by bank transfer.
A said, “I felt even more sorry because it seemed as though he had scraped together and sent all the money in his bank account,” adding, “Thanks to him, I was able to take a taxi home safely. Thank you for cheering me on so warmly.” At the end of the post, A wrote, “Singer Lee Hyun Sup.”
Lee Hyun Sup is the singer who performed “My Love,” an OST for the popular 2004 SBS drama *Something Happened in Bali*. Since the drama aired more than 20 years ago, the song may have been unfamiliar to A, who is just starting out in the workforce.
