According to A, after she gave birth, her father-in-law frequently called and bombarded her with intrusive questions such as, “Is your milk coming in well?” “Does it hurt when you breastfeed?” and “Is the baby feeding well?”
His excessive displays of affection and interference also troubled A. Her father-in-law frequently told her, “I love you,” and made comments such as, “Let’s go on a trip together,” “Let’s have a meal prepared by our daughter-in-law,” and “I want to stay overnight at your house.” He also reportedly took A to every family gathering and tried to bolster his own standing by showing others how warmly and attentively his daughter-in-law treated him.
