Samsung Electronics Showcases EHS Heat Pump Technology at Jeju Green Hydrogen Forum

[Financial News] Samsung Electronics will participate in the 2026 Green Hydrogen Global Forum, held at the International Convention Center Jeju from the 14th to the 16th, and showcase residential heating-and-cooling electrification solutions.
According to Samsung Electronics on the 14th, the forum, hosted by the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment and Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, will discuss global energy-transition strategies, including AI-based renewable-energy innovation and cooperation on green hydrogen.
Samsung Electronics will exhibit the high-efficiency heat-pump products EHS All-in-One and EHS Heat Pump Boiler. EHS heat pumps use air-source heat and electricity to provide indoor heating and cooling as well as hot water. Compared with fossil-fuel-based boilers, they can deliver more heat for the energy consumed.
The exhibition will explain the products’ operating principles and potential applications in Jeju’s residential environment by linking physical products with technical diagrams and seasonal use scenarios. Samsung Electronics plans to step up its efforts to capture the domestic heat-pump market in response to the government’s carbon-neutrality policies and growing demand for heating-and-cooling electrification.
EHS All-in-One provides cooling, underfloor heating, and domestic hot water with a single outdoor unit. It features heat-recovery technology that reuses waste heat generated during cooling to produce hot water, and uses R32 refrigerant, whose global-warming potential is approximately 68% lower than that of the existing R410A refrigerant.
The EHS Heat Pump Boiler recorded a seasonal coefficient of performance (SCOP) of 4.9 at a leaving-water temperature of 35 degrees, delivering heating-energy efficiency of approximately five times the electricity consumed. It can supply hot water at temperatures of up to 70 degrees even at minus 15 degrees, and was designed to provide heating even at minus 25 degrees.
Both products can be connected to the Samsung SmartThings app, allowing users to check indoor and leaving-water temperatures in real time and control the systems remotely. Samsung Electronics is establishing an EHS Heat Pump Boiler production line at the Samsung Electronics Gwangju Plant while conducting demonstrations to verify the applicability of EHS All-in-One in residential environments at detached homes in Jeju and at the Samsung C&T Residential Research Institute.
