NST Seeks Specialized Talent for the Future of Shared Administration at Government-Funded Research Institutes

[Financial News] The National Research Council of Science and Technology (NST) announced on the 14th that it will publicly recruit specialists in five areas—recruitment, public relations, grievance handling, auditing, and information security—as it moves to professionalize shared administrative functions at government-funded research institutes.
The recruitment will be conducted in stages for a total of 100 positions. In the first round, NST will recruit 64 people and accept applications from September 14 to September 29. The second round is scheduled to take place after October.
The recruitment plan is designed to secure and develop specialized personnel by hiring both entry-level and experienced employees, including talented young people in their 20s and 30s, in line with the government’s workforce and employment policies.
NST plans to gradually develop new hires into administrative specialists for government-funded research institutes. At the same time, it will recruit experienced employees who can perform their duties immediately, creating a workforce structure with both expertise and continuity.

NST Chairman Kim Young-sik said, "The key to professionalizing shared administration is to specialize in the administrative needs common to government-funded research institutes and provide more professional and stable administrative services." He added, "We will continue to reflect the views of researchers in the field, reduce the administrative burden on government-funded research institutes, and create an environment where researchers can focus more fully on their research."
