"Turning Industrial Complexes into Manufacturing AI Hubs"... Korea Industrial Complex Corporation Pushes for Major Transformation

[Financial News] The Korea Industrial Complex Corporation announced on the 14th that it held the '62nd Industrial Complex Day Commemorative Ceremony'.
'Industrial Complex Day' is a statutory commemorative day to reflect on the contributions of industrial complexes, resident companies, and workers who have led national economic growth and industrial development, and to explore future directions for the development of industrial complexes.
This year's commemorative ceremony was held under the slogan "Power of the Region to the Future, Corporate Challenges to the World." Approximately 1,000 key stakeholders from the industrial sector attended the ceremony, including representatives from the government, the National Assembly, local governments, companies located in industrial complexes, and workers.
At the event, the government's policy direction was also presented to transform industrial complexes from traditional production spaces into industrial hubs encompassing Manufacturing AI, carbon neutrality, youth employment, and regional growth. The plan envisions integrating the government's 'Five Mega-Regions and Three Special Self-Governing Provinces Policy,' the 'K-Industrial Complex Great Transformation Strategy,' and the Manufacturing AI Transformation (M.AX) with industrial complex policies. The Korea Industrial Complex Corporation plans to promote innovation in industrial sites centered on Manufacturing AI, drive the transition to carbon neutrality, create industrial spaces that attract young people, and foster the growth and global competitiveness of tenant companies.
Awards were also presented to individuals who contributed to the development of industrial complexes and national industry. The highest honor, the Dongtap Order of Industrial Service Merit, was awarded to Jeong Jae-deok, CEO of ELIM Electronics. The Presidential Commendation was presented to Kwon Soon-tak, CEO of TAESUNG INDUSTRY CO., LTD., and Kim Kang-hoon, CEO of Ssangyoung Spinning, while the Prime Minister's Commendation was awarded to Lee Woon-young, CEO of C&C APPAREL CO., LTD., and Shin Young-soo, CEO of Yuwon Meditech.
Lee Sang-hoon, Chairman of the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation, stated, "Moving forward, we will pursue a major transformation of industrial complexes based on voices from the field so that they can lead manufacturing AI innovation and regional growth, and leap forward as future industrial spaces where companies can grow even larger."
