Crew Member in His 60s Dies After Being Airlifted for Pain off Ulsan Coast

According to the Ulsan Coast Guard, a report was received at around 7:52 a.m. on the 14th that a crew member in his 60s, identified as A, was complaining of chest and side pain aboard a 57-ton trawler operating approximately 80 kilometers southeast of Ganjeolgot Cape, off Seosaeng-myeon, Ulju County.
A was placed aboard a Coast Guard rescue helicopter dispatched to the scene and urgently transported to Ulsan University Hospital, but he ultimately died.
Police are investigating the cause of A’s death and the exact circumstances of the incident by questioning people associated with the fishing vessel.
