Hyundai Motor India Limited Unveils Name of New SUV ‘BAYON’; Specifications and Price Expected to Follow Soon

【New Delhi, India—Pragya Awasati, Correspondent】Hyundai Motor India Limited took its first step toward launching the new SUV model Hyundai BAYON in the Indian market by unveiling its name.
On the 14th, Hyundai Motor India Limited unveiled the name BAYON and introduced it as “a new model of intelligent mobility that combines technology, design, and an intuitive user experience, rather than simply being a new vehicle.”
Based on Hyundai Motor Company’s global design philosophy and technology, BAYON is an SUV targeting changing consumer demand in the Indian market. Detailed information, including its specifications and price, will be released sequentially over the next few weeks. 
Tarun Garg, head of Hyundai Motor India Limited, said, “BAYON is more than the launch of a new SUV; it is a model that presents a new way of thinking. Technology can create the greatest value when it becomes naturally integrated into everyday life.”
The unveiling of the model name also marks the beginning of Hyundai Motor Company’s efforts to expand its SUV lineup in India. Having already established an SUV portfolio in the Indian market, Hyundai Motor Company plans to strengthen its technology-focused product strategy for next-generation consumers through BAYON.
Hyundai Motor Company also released a video combining advanced technology and imagination alongside the unveiling of BAYON. In a space reminiscent of a futuristic laboratory, intelligent elements come together one by one to complete the name ‘BAYON.’ The video ends with the message ‘INTELLIGENCE ON,’ highlighting BAYON’s core concept.
HMIL expects BAYON to open a new chapter in its product strategy in the Indian market. As demand for advanced technology, connectivity, and distinctive design grows among younger consumers in India’s automobile market, the company plans to further strengthen its competitiveness in the SUV segment through BAYON. However, the vehicle’s detailed specifications, price, and launch schedule have not yet been disclosed. HMIL plans to announce additional information in the coming weeks.
