Jeonnam Gwangju Metropolitan City Office of Education to Hold '2026 Educational Supplies Fair'—First Event Since Jeonnam-Gwangju Integration

【Financial News Jeonnam Gwangju = Hwang Tae-jong】The Jeonnam Gwangju Metropolitan City Office of Education will hold the '2026 Educational Supplies Fair' at the Suncheon Bay Ecological and Cultural Education Center from September 30 to October 2. It is the first such event since the integration of Jeonnam and Gwangju.
According to the Jeonnam Gwangju Metropolitan City Office of Education, the Educational Supplies Fair is a major exhibition and hands-on event for educational supplies. It aims to expand sales channels for local manufacturers and identify high-quality educational equipment, while strengthening the application of products in schools and linking them to actual contracts so that local companies and schools can grow together.
Superintendent of Education Kim Dae-jung emphasized, "This fair will go beyond simply displaying products and become a forum for communication where education communities in Jeonnam and Gwangju can experience and share the direction of future education together."
The fair will feature six exhibition categories: artificial intelligence (AI), edtech and information and communications technology (ICT) devices; science and laboratory equipment; safety, health and hygiene products; food-service and kitchen equipment; furniture; and government-supplied materials. It will focus on hands-on exhibitions where school practitioners can directly experience the products, along with product information sessions and demonstrations.
The office previously conducted a fair review of 112 companies that applied to participate and selected 75 companies from Jeonnam and Gwangju that possess the latest edtech technologies optimized for schools and high-quality educational equipment. Manufacturers account for 63 companies, or 84% of the total, including 41 from Jeonnam and 22 from Gwangju. The fair is expected to substantially expand sales channels for local small and medium-sized enterprises and contribute to regional economic growth.
