[Financial News] Kwon Min-a, a former member of the group A.O.A., has denied allegations of fraud and making threats against her and announced that she would take legal action.
On the 14th, Kwon Min-a wrote on Instagram, "People sent me tips saying that Person A had posted on Threads that I committed fraud and made threats, so I'm waiting for the original file. It's so absurd, and this person is impossible to reason with. I was going to let it go, but I didn't want to be misunderstood, so I'm writing this post," she began.
According to Kwon Min-a, Person A claimed to be a fan and contacted her first, saying that they wanted to take acting lessons. One acting lesson was actually held. They later discussed additional lessons, but their appointments reportedly fell through several times while they were trying to coordinate their schedules.
Kwon Min-a claimed, "I have my own schedule too, but our appointments kept falling through and I saw no passion from them. I decided to write off the practice room rental fee that had already been paid and gave them a full refund."
She continued, "They ignored their own no-shows and insisted that we take another lesson, saying that they had missed lessons because of me, so I refused. They said things like, 'I'll ask my friends if this kind of thing has happened to them,' and 'I'll bring everyone from my father's side of the family and meet you,' so I blocked them."
Kwon Min-a said, "I even calculated the fees according to the schedule they wanted and tried to accommodate them by matching all the times when lessons were possible. What did I do wrong to be accused of fraud and making threats? Go ahead and file a complaint if you want. In return, I will file a countersuit for false accusation and defamation."
She added, "There had been talk that sounded threatening, so I thought they might cause trouble, but I hear everything. Just in case, I have kept the entire KakaoTalk conversation, so everyone, please don't worry."
Meanwhile, Kwon Min-a debuted with the group A.O.A. in 2012 and transitioned to acting after leaving the group in 2019.
